On chilly days like today, it makes me so happy to look back at these warm and sunny shots by Sarah-Beth Photography. A few times a year, I get to do elaborate styled shoots for Sarah during her mentoring workshops. We throw some ideas out, but ultimately, Sarah gives me the freedom to take the reigns. These shoots take extensive time and planning, but the end result makes all the blood, sweat and tears worth it! Don’t you agree? 🙂
I got to work alongside Erin Barrett for the weeks leading up to this shoot. She is the gorgeous mama in these photos and the crazy talent behind For the Love of Letters. It is always a pleasure to work with the Barrett Family.
For this shoot, we started with the Free People American flag duster (it was love at first sight) and worked the wardrobe selections around that. I wanted the perfect mix of glam and grunge-and all within keeping the style true to the families own personal taste. I incorporated lots of color and texture to give us the “glamping” feel. In some cases, less is more…but here, more is more.
